Workshop April 1st 2017
We will begin learning the movements of the ‘The Ba Duan Jin’ or ‘8 Pieces of Brocade’ Qi Gong. These will give you an understanding of the roots of Qi Gong and will then be able to grasp the key of the practice and grow from there. You will understand not only what you are doing but also why you are doing it. As well as learning about Chi energy, how to strengthen it and maintain your health, we will learn how to regulate the body, breath, mind & Shen (Spirit).
Relaxation is the most important principle in Qi Gong and Tai Chi. In this workshop we introduce ‘Fang Song Gong’ and will continue to explore and develop the practice in forth coming sessions. Gradually you will get an understanding of how you can incorporate this level of relaxation into everything you do.
This first workshop of 2017 starts an exploration of the breath. By being more aware of your breath it allows you to explore and recognise the felt experience of your deeper unconscious and conscious emotional tensions. With practise and increased awareness you will naturally discover ways to release and let go of your negative emotions, manage stress more effectively and release tension.
